Chappie Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Gents, I have put together a small mission to train myself on Mi-8 and UH-1 including troops. I have discovered how to embark and disembark troops but yet to discover how to utilize them once they are delivered. Though they have movement waypoints, once they disembark, I observe a beeline headed back to base. Real downer such cowardice ruins mission. So, how do I control them?
Cibit Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 After the disembark waypoint you must add more waypoints in the direction of the enemy. If you use CTTS the AI you drop off goes searching for enemy up to a distance of around 200m IIRC i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB

Chappie Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 Well, select helicopter in editor, add advanced action, Perform task, Embarking, and use distribution
Chappie Posted October 14, 2014 Author Posted October 14, 2014 After the disembark waypoint you must add more waypoints in the direction of the enemy. If you use CTTS the AI you drop off goes searching for enemy up to a distance of around 200m IIRC I did that. Embarking/disembarking are advanced waypoint actions. I added waypoints for the infantry to follow. They never followed them unless they were searching for enemies but that is the reason I gave them the waypoints to follow leading directly to the enemy.
