W.E.S.T gather west european players to TvsT missions

Hello,

 

Some words about W.E.S.T :

 

W.E.S.T. is not a new squadron. Every members must come from a squadron and register with their squadron tag here.

We will open 2 groups for Lone Wolf in order to lead them, =RW= (red wolfpack) and =BW= (blue wolfpack)

Finally here is just a place to gather teams and isolated players for TvsT missions, no more.

 

WEST is only dedicated to west european players to ensure a good connection quality with or without a dedicated server

So, teams from western europe are welcome.

Players from others countries cannot join us for now. Anyway, feel free to copy W.E.S.T at will to set some TvsT missions in your location.

 

We play on Sunday GMT00 19h00

 

Of course we need you to start this, so we look some people to

- design our first TvsT mission. The first one is about Mig21, Mi8, Huey, ka-50 and A10C.

- let us use a teamspeak for these events

- let us use a server for these events

- manage WEST, welcome team and players, explain rules, deal with rules violators.

- design a good banner for this forum.

- help about english

Oh my bad, LOL !

 

Indeed I talk about connection quality. I managed some games with players from europe, usa and australia and that was very laggy. So it seems logical to start by gathering players from a small area first and then make some speed connection tests to open ours events to more countries if we need more players.

In fact if you can playthe great campaignOperation Summer Rain I think this is better and you are very lucky !

If like me you cannot, play some good versus missions is still a good option.

That can be a fun idea but I've got some questions about it.

 

1 - How do you think the preparation workflow will settle ? (when will the objectives be given, how many time will be allowed for the preparation process, ...)

 

2- Will the ground forces be placed by each team as for their objectives ?

Or will they be placed by the mission designer (same question for the SAM)

 

3- Will there be rounds between the teams, simulating offensive and defensive positions on specific MOA ?

Or will it be more like unlinked missions.

 

4- With the aircraft proposed, the teams will be allowed to fly mostly CAS, STRIKE, Ground Attack, FAC and Intercept missions. Will you add some su-25T to add some SEAD/DEAD objectives ? (more realistic symmetrical conflicts)

 

Another quick tip, you may look at BMS RedFlag events to see how they are planned, it works really well.

We start by 1 mission on sunday every two weeks. So you have 2 weeks to be ready.

We start by fully designed mission. When WEST runs well, yes we can use units templates to place ground units and SAM

 

3- Will there be rounds between the teams, simulating offensive and defensive positions on specific MOA ? Or will it be more like unlinked missions.

We start by unlinked missions with charts results. When WEST runs well yes we can consider rounds.

Each team must join blue forces f-15, Huey, A-10A, A-10C … or red forces Ka-50, Su27...Su-25T will be available both sides.

 

 

For the first one we can avoid classic F-15/Su27 fighters fight to a balanced MiG21 vs MiG21 combats (just an idea)

So I am belgian and I can't play with you ? :doh:These restriction seems a bit absurd ! Saying that you are looking for players in West europe should be enough ....

Anyway, I'm looking forward too see how this will shape up. But how are you, are you alone to try organisingthis thing? there is not a lot of information of the forum

Good question, tks for asking.

In fact I don't organise this. I just open this thread, wait and see if some squadrons want to do it.

I will give admin rights ASAP a team leader contact me to support this idea.

I think a neutral forum is a good way to start but if a squadron want to support these missions on his own forum no matter for me .

I can DELETE it and join them to help.
