ctguy1955 Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 I took a job in Malta New York and have been away from my computer for a month. The first thing I did when I sat at my pc was to buy the SaberJet on sale and messed around with it for a half hour or so. I hope that eventually they do a tutorial on how to set up for take off like they did for the P-51. I woke up this morning and flew the saber again and just loved the feeling of speed and then decided to try out my P-51 and I took off and flew it great !!! Landing I need more practice, as I bent a wheel upon landing, but it felt so good to be able to take off like a pro as I think I spent 5 hours learning how to take off without flipping over and crashing. Guess its like riding a bicycle, once you know how, it comes back easy. I was going to bring my pc to my hotel room upon going back to NY, but decided the risk of it being stolen or a fire was not worth it. I can tell you how much I missed flying as before I left, I only had 10 hours of learning time and had bought a new madcatz hotas X52 and was still learning. I have never enjoyed the thrill of going on multiplayer and flying missions with others but look forward to doing so someday, when I leave NY to come back to CT. Not much work available here and Global Foundries has work for years to come. Im going to retire in two more years and I need the pension credits to have my 30 years. Clear Skies my Brothers and I miss you all very much. Mike
kontiuka Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Here are some video tutorials for the Sabre if you haven't seen them already ... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=127433
kontiuka Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 I find if you've taxied from the tarmac, the nose wheel can be slightly askew during takeoff so I do hold the button for the first 50 kts to straighten out the wheel. I do try to make the nosewheel as straight as possible though before the takeoff run.
