1.8 GB of RAM usage is normal. Are you on a 32-bit or a 64-bit OS?

Also Have U mucked with the Cache File/swap file of windows?

The error u are getting is typical of swap file errors caused by limiting windows access to RAM. by way of editing the swap file size.

I have experienced it as well recently and the way I run DCS has not changed for months. I suspect one or two aircraft/modules for being responsible for that - but I have not enough data, yet, to blame them openly. :o)

I get the same issue. My DCS uses upto 3.5GB of System RAM and uses 4GB of VRAM. After a while it seems to purge the textures or something and everything goes into solid colours and the textures disappear and frame rate drops to a slideshow. I also can't alt+tab in the game any more as it just results into a crash to desktop. The game never used to do this before the last two or three patches. I'm hoping it gets sorted as it's seriously affecting my playtime in DCS at the moment.

I've had the VRAM issue for quite a while now. DCS is using 99.x% of the 2 GB available, and sometimes it crashes to desktop after textures disappear and frame rate reaches single digits.

I've seen about 9 GB of RAM usage while flying at the VA server; I did experience some odd crashes while I still had 8 GB installed, but after upgrading to 16 it's always the graphics that fails.

Dear Shilka. I hate you so very very much. Love, Rex
