kaglecom Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 The Flexible Sight can be aimed with these keys: ( , . / ). I understand that these keys used to be listed under Commands / Flexible Sight, but no longer are. Is there any way to bind these keys to a hat switch on HOTAS? As they are no longer listed under Commands (but still operate), I'm guessing no. But why would the developer eliminate that option?
Dirty Rotten Flieger Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 I just bought the Huey and I'm trying to figure out how to use the flexible sight and I can't. I noticed that the controls the training instructor tells you to use don't work and some are wrong. So can anybody explain how to fly the chopper with my right hand and aim the copilots sight with the mouse in my left hand?
bin801 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I have trackIR. during Training weapon mission, I follow instructor, but I didn't see any movement of my flex sight. and according #3 Tuco's reply, I can do nothing to resolve this problem. have you resolved this problem? Go and select it in the settings menu, then launch the mission. If it does not work when selected, deselect it, then start the mission again, then exit the mission, then reselect it. Bear in mind though, that training mission is pretty badly broken, so you may try testing it in a campaign mission or online instead.
Flagrum Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Changing the setting back and forth helps, but it is not necessary to start a mission between each change of the settings: I think, there is a small bug when changing something under Options -> Special. If the module is new (just installed), the default settings are visible there, but might not be active - as they are not yet written to your settings in your Saved Games folder. So you would change something, then the settings are written to the disk, then you change it back to what you originally wanted and the now correct settings are saved. Then it all should work as expected.
