Trim issues

As the title says im having some Trim issues. Ive noticed it on P-51, TF-51 and the A-10. Basically its completely unresponsive. The only thing that works is the T\O trim switch for the A-10 but none of the flight controls move. I see the trim switch on the HOTAS in game move but the stick does not adjust in game. The manual trim does nothing either. For the P-51 the Rudder trim works fine but both the aileron trim and elevator trim the aircraft doesn't respond at all while flying. When on the ground, FULL AILERON TRIM LEFT, only the left trim tab moves the right does nothing and the stick does not move. Same with FULL RIGHT TRIM... only the left moves but not the right side. Im either assuming its not suppose to move or its a bug. But the real issue is when I'm flying the airplane keeps rolling to the left so i try to move TRIM FULL RIGHT nothing happens. Trim does nothing and stick does nothing, but the knob does move. Also my flight control authority is limited to the left. So i hold the stick to FULL LEFT with the trim to FULL RIGHT, the stick in the game will stop in neutral. While holding the stick to FULL LEFT then trim to FULL LEFT as the trim moves past 0 degrees the stick will regain authority. Same with the other side. Either way the airplane does not respond to any trim movement. Ive tried to delete all the axis assigned and reassign to joystick only. Ive also deleted all joystick and try keyboard nothing changes it. All the trim has worked before this last patch. Thank you for any help or guidance if this is normal ops :P

The P-51 has two trim tabs. One for in-flight trimming, controlled by the pilot, and one which the ground crews can set to rig the aircraft. Guess which one is which? ;)

 

As for the rest, a good start would be to have a look at what the controls actually are up to in th RCtrl+Enter window.

 

Trim tabs have no effect on the control surface/stick position while static on the ground. They work through the aerodynamic forces on the trim tabs.

yea i figured the one tab moved and the other did was normal ops ;) but another issue i have is that the control window will not come up when i hit RCtrl+Enter. So i rebinded it to something else and it still will not show up. So weird.

Ok finally got the Control window to open. All controls are neutral. Manifold pressure is at 46 and rpm at 27. The airplane still Rolls left with full trim right but no control relief. I still have to hold the stick to keep it level. The knob still rotates but no response.

in your DCS options, P51 reel, special, have you uncheck all automatic command that could take the priority on your joystick command ?

I'm not sur but maybe it could be a conflict...

One thing to try, as unexciting as it may be, could be to reset all your control assigns back to default and check if the basics are working correctly. If they are, very carefully go through and change assignments as necessary checking each one as you go.

 

The aircraft selection drop down, needs to be approached carefully... don't want to change assignments for a version or different aircraft than the one you are wanting to at the time

 

Also, could you let us know what joystick/ throttle/ pedals you are running, as well as your computer's specs?

The Trim issues have been resolved.... but i didnt do anything to the game all i did was update windows so im not sure what it was. But thank you for the help.:joystick::pilotfly:
