Captain Spears Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Hey guys - I've tried a search for this but can't seem to find an answer: I seem to be getting some kind of interference when using TrackIR with DCS A10C (admittedly I haven't tried it with another module yet). TrackIR is new but it works flawlessly with ARMA3 and Rise of Flight. The symptoms I am experiencing are: in-cockpit flight appears normal for a few minutes, and then all of a sudden the cockpit-view becomes erratic and uncontrollable, and resetting to center won't even fix it. I've adjusted TrackIR sensitivity to light etc. and as I said, works fine in other sims. Any advice would really be appreciated. Thanks, Spears
Blooze Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 be sure that the camera is no more that 18 inches away from the hat or pro clip. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
tommytank Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Got a window or lightsource nearby? Mine gets spooked by daylight from a window to the left in my office/pit reflecting off my clip - I just close the curtains. Easy way to tell is to shade your clip with your hand.
cichlidfan Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 If the problem is really in DCS then the first thing I would try is to delete the Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\*module name*\trackir folder. This will reset the control config the next time you run the sim. Mike5560 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Open windows, lights behind you or people can do this. You can go to diplay, then camera view to see what the camera is viewing. Anything that is red is an outside IR source. On the left side of the control panel you can click on the camera tab and adjust the light filter threshold to your liking.

Captain Spears Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 Thanks for the assistance. I took all of the above into account and the experience improved. Fingers crossed it stays this way!
cichlidfan Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 It occurs to me that you probably spend more time trying to look down in the A-10 than in ARMA or ROF. That is also when it is easiest for TIR to lose track of your head. If the TIR camera latches onto another light source when that happens, it will act in a manner similar to what you are describing. McBlemmen Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 People wearing lights? People wearing their track clip pros. Don't you wear it when you go out?
