Flagrum Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 These options are not working for me. No next day setup, no DCS_updater repair in cmd, no win start menu updater...nothing. Upload your autoupdate_log.txt from your DCS installation directory here, please. edit: Is your DCS installation a standard DCS from the ED website or are you using the Steam version?

Flagrum Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Perhaps your firewall is blocking the update server. Could you check that?
ALDEGA Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 ERROR: Conection to server 'updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com' failed: Couldn't resolve host nameLooks like a DNS issue. Verify that you can resolve 'updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com' by going to the Windows command line and entering nslookup updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com
BitMaster Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 You have a DNS problem as the log says that you cannot resolve the hostname as ALDEGA says. If you know how it works, change your DNS servers used in your Router, usually found somewhere in the WAN/ISP config. Change them to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, use both if you can set 2 of them. then reboot your router AND your PC and try again. ....and try before and after what ALDEGA asked you do test with nslookup. BitMaster Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Those 2 DNS Servers are unblocked and very fast Google DNS Servers. They do not block any Domain and they are updated quicker and more often than most standard ISP DNS Servers most of us have as default. blackbelter Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 There is always the command-line-dcs-updater route. It's never failed me so far. Check out one of the sticky thread for detail.
Zeno Spada Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) resolved... i moved the dcs updater to the E:\DCS World folder and it worked... i tried the same thing yesterday with no result... Edited November 13, 2014 by Zeno Spada
