I stumbled over this coincindently :music_whistling:

while having a quick look at this document :

http://www.deutscheluftwaffe.de/archiv/Dokumente/ABC/f/Funk/FuG16Z.pdf

I found on page 12 the indication of "how it looks like when u r off course"

and Im pretty sure that it works exactly the other way in out beloved sim.

Sim: we need to "fly into the needle" to get on course [it shows where to go]

Diagram from Luftwaffe Nov. 1944: we need "to fly THE NEEDLE onto the course" [it shows where you are]

Please someone doublecheck this

Translation ger - eng u may need for this "page 12 column a and i on the lower diagram/table" :

Richtung zum Sender - direction to transmitter

Flugzeug - Airplane

auf zielkurs - on course

links - left

rechts - right

Kurslage des Flugzeugs - Horizontal attitude(course) of the Airplane

Ausschlag am Anzeigegerät AFN 2 - Amplitude on the indicationinstrument AFN2

There are two types of fighter pilots - those who have, and those who will execute a magnificent break turn towards a bug on the canopy . . . .
