Tracer1 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Hey Guys, I Noticed last night that I cannot connect to multi-player anymore. Still can't and get that error cannot connect to master. I didn't change any settings but did notice an update recentlly, then when I started the next day was unable to connect. Is the servers down right now? Is there anyway I can check if servers are up or down other than asking here? I am running Bit Defender, and when turned off it still can't connect. I deleted the cfg file and cookie in the users dir but still no good. Can someone give me the IP Address for master.digitalcombatsimulator.com I was told I need to open the firewall for it but need the ip address. Thanks for any help Tracer
Slick Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Same here. Have been away for about 6 weeks. Updated y'day and couldn't connect to ANY server. Singleplayer works fine though. Unable to connect. Occasionally (after restarting a couple of times), I do get that Cannot connect to master error as well. Quite annoying.
Tracer1 Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 Its odd, last night I was able to connect with no errors. I didn't change a thing. I'll try again tonight and see if its still working. At the beginning of last night I was getting the error, then before I logged off I was able to connect. I wonder if they did something on the server end.
Fakum Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Um yeah,, same here! I was in last night, now I cant connect either, and even more strange, when I initially clicked on my desktop Icon, It prompted me to confirm all my activation keys? That never happened before, so I thought I might of got hacked or something, so I tried to exit out of each prompt. I eventually got out back to my desktop, made sure I was up to date on my Bitdefender and ran a scan. No problems found. I ran a DCS repair to no avail. I reformatted back to an image from 11-17-14, and still can not connect, and my loading used to be instant, now its hanging at 12% for quite awhile also? Something has happened between yesterday and today, for me at least? Fakum Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 I did some more digging and found a thread claiming that this issue of not being able to connect to Master could be your internet time sync. I followed the instructions (very easy) and I am now able to connect. It doesn't explain the prompts for Activation keys, but I am good to go it seams. http://www.thewindowsclub.com/change-internet-time-update-interval-windows Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle
Tracer1 Posted November 25, 2014 Author Posted November 25, 2014 I am not able to connect tonight but have been online since the 17th. I made no setting changes, just can't log on. Will try again tomorrow, seems to be hit or miss for me. Did the sync thing. thanks Tracer
Fakum Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 I have noticed that it is still occurring for me as well. 1st thing I do is sync the time, sometimes that resolves it, sometimes it does not. Then if I go thru single player mode, it hangs at 12%, sometimes not. Weird and frustrating, wish I could help Windows 10 Pro - 64 Bit / ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming / AMD 7800X3D / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 64GB DDR5 6000 Ram / SSD M.2 SK hynix Platinum P41 2TB / MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 SUPRIM Liquid X 24G / SteelSeries Arctis 7 Headset /LG-Ultragear 38" IPS LED Ultrawide HD Monitor (3840 x 1600) / Track IR4 / Thrustmaster TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals / Virpil HOTAS VPC Constellation ALPHA-R & VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle
phr33dumb Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hi All. For those of you struggling with the could not connect to master issue, I've been battling with this one for the last 10 days. From Format, to port forward, to calls to my ISP, to removing firewalls and antiviruses. I might have a solution. Someone on one of the forums posted something about the time on your pc being wrong. I tried syncing my time in windows with online time but it didn't work, untill........ On the DCS website: Click Personal Section; Under the "Auto Time Zone"drop down box, select the "Yes, use browser settings" This fixed my headache. I hope it works for you all. Report back if it does. Kindest Regards Phr33Dumb
