PiedDroit Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) When taking off the SPRD-99 exhaust is shown horizontal and stays parallel to the runway even when pitching up (see picture). It should point downward and not be affected by aircraft attitude (e.g., should be constant relative to the aircraft). It looks like it's following airflow. P.S.: The fix should be in the next update... I don't have the beta build, disregard if already fixed (I'm using 1.2.11.34087). Edited November 30, 2014 by PiedDroit
Cobra847 Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Nothing we can do to fix this at current. We are aware of it since pre-release. Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
Einherjer Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 I can live with it because I'm siting IN the cockpit ;)
Random Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Im guessing DCS treats the flames kinda like smoke? Its 180 degrees to velocity vector? Would it be possible to treat them like extra reheats only available when equipped so the flames align with the nozzles correctly?

To quote Cobra's post in another recent thread about them: We currently can't adjust the flames for the SPRD. The SPRD rockets are somewhat of a "hack" visually. Essentially, they're missiles attached to the aircraft. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
Paradox Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I'm quite impressed that it looks as good as it does really.
