oresteia Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Hi guys, first off i want to say that i love the helicopter, and everything around it, but i've got heartbreaking issue :( i know how trimming works, i've readed manual, guides and even saw an video of it, and it still doesn't work, i just hear clicking sound, but nothing happens... stuff i tried: tripple checked the settings for the "TRIMMER" tripple checked if iam playing in SIMULATION mode(everything set to simulation) tried to apply the trimmer through joystick button or keyboard(default "T") tried checking if trimmer really isn't working with help of Rctrl+enter thingy tried to start the choppa manually same as trying to load mission where you are already started double checked the autopilot panel ... iam helpless :(
ricktoberfest Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Trimmer doesn't work If you want it for the rudder you have to check that box in the options screen... Otherwise it worked for me last I tried. Are you using force feedback?
oresteia Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 i do not use force feedback, no, but iam talking about the cyclic trim, like in this video
Cibit Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Just to confirm it works. Also if you hear a click then chances are it is working. The object of the trim is to centre the joystick to that particular position, Try on the ground with engines on and the control helper enabled (red box with axis) move the joystick right and back from the centre. Press trim button and the control indicator should show your new position that u trimmed it to. oresteia Posted December 4, 2014 Author Posted December 4, 2014 thanks for reply... yes i know how it works, if i open that red box with Pctrl+enter, if i would turn my joystick to the left, click "T",hear the click and move joystick back, i would still be hovering, it would just have no effect at all, i tried it many times, i even watched vcideo, where the trimmer option is described with help of that red box, and it just doesn't work

You move your joystick, the controls indicator moves as well. You press "T". You move your joystick back to the center. What does the controls indicator show? And maybe you should also post a track.

Flagrum Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 That steering wheel is perhaps FFB? And/or when it was plugged in, "FFB" was enabled in the options?
oresteia Posted December 5, 2014 Author Posted December 5, 2014 That steering wheel is perhaps FFB? And/or when it was plugged in, "FFB" was enabled in the options? it indeed is, but i was unable to find any global option for the FF? only in the axis menu you can disable the FF, but even if i deleted every single axis or button input from the steering wheel, it still wouldnt work

Just another silly question if i can, how to use radio ? i know how to set it up physically in helicopter, but where is the menu to make pilot say something ? i knew shortcut in A-10 but that one doesn't work here:/

I want stick stay at 5 degree pitch down, it will trim to 5degree pitch UP. what happen? and how should I do? Go to the options/controls menu. Select axis commands from the list and go the FFB Tune on the bottom of the screen. Now put a check on the Swap Axis option. All should be fine now. Also make sure you have checked the FFB option in the Misc menu. Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) | AMD Ryzen 9 5900X @ 4,5Ghz | 128Gb DDR4 3200Mhz | beQuiet!
