Excellent flying, the team's really coming together well. And I'm particularly impressed by the sponsorship, it's nice to have that kind of recognition of your efforts.

Whas this the official VTB movie or was it just a small one that you made.

This project started about two weeks ago when I had too much footage I wanted to show the other guys and no good way of sending them massive chunks of video. I started putting together a short promo and it ended up being what you see! It all just happened by "accident"...

The long awaited movie everyone is referring to (we know!!! trust me, we know it's overdue, but we're a lot closer now! ;)) will be much longer and feature full maneuvers for the entire High Show, sound FX etc etc. We want it to look and feel just as if you're going to an airshow and not miss a beat. So, to answer your question: No, this is not the movie!

Thank you and everyone for their positive feedback! Few people besides the real Thunderbirds probably understand how much time and commitment this takes. Each pilot has easily flown more than 50 hours per month during the past year in practice. I'd be glad to talk about that all day long, but the info is already available for those interested and can be found at our site: www.virtualthunderbirds.com

Once again. Appreciate the feedback and yes, we're as anxious as everyone else to get the full movie out. There's just not enough time in between my real flying job, life and everything else.... but it's coming...

Im starting to make movies and was wondering what you used to make this movie only 57mb in high def with good fps for over 2 mins? It also appears you're using a bit of AA in there. Im using Fraps and something that good would easily be over 2gb.... most likely over 10gb. Any help appreciated....

Im also using WMM 2.0 for editing and its always crashing. I searched on the web and it says to rename some codecs, however, i dont have any of the codecs listed that would cause problems... anyone have any ideas? Or perhaps a better editing software?

Thanks in advance. Your video came out awesome. Would love to know how to make mine look like that for such a relatively small file....

Thanks LawnDart. After doing some tweaking myself, i figured out a way to get a nice HD version of my first movie. I was able to get 1280x720 for almost 7 mins into 130mb. If i increase the bit rate, its almost flawless at 200mb, except for the fact i cant run any AA or AF while rendering with fraps. Now im having a problem with youtube, I uploaded my video there in 1024x768, but the recompression to their standard resolution pretty much ruined it... if anyone knows anyway i can clean this up for youtube, i'd be grateful... Glowing Amraam videos came out pretty nice on youtube. How can i get mine to look like that?

It looks good in high def and 1024x768, but not so great on youtube...here it is...
