How to accomplish the campaign "Bear Trap"'s mission 3?

I just can't get myself to destroy the A50. I reach waypoint 11, see it right infront of me on my TEWS together with some other fighters and... my plane goes boom (enemy fighters missiled me). I simply cannot burn through the ECM fast enough.

 

I have also tried to search for videos on it but no success. Found one but the guy also failed almost the same way I do. ._.

 

Any help?

 

EDIT: Lol, done another attempt (6th) and did it... basically tried climbing to their altittude right from the start. :D This is sucha derpy mission designing.

Did you try to home on the jammer? Just lock up the jammer and launch. You don't have distance information, so just try to estimate distance as best as you can, or use AWACs.

Is it possible to launch even without the two red lights lit on the upper part of the cockpit? Because they didn't lit up, they remained dark.

Yes.

I may be wrong (as im sure someone will correct me if i am) but those two lights (shoot cue) on the canopy frame in the F-15 are directly related to the Rtr value within the DLZ for the selected weapon you are about to launch.

Yep you got it. Climb to their altitude and engage the fighters directly. There's 2 migs and 2 su's. Cake for you and a wingman. After that the awacs is cake.
