MatuX Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Hey guys - I just bought DCS, ran it and found out the controls are not preconfigured for my X55. I'm wondering if this is the way it's supposed to be, I honestly don't want to spend my first hours in-game going back and forth between game and menus assigning controls... Are there extra downloads for profiles? Am I missing something? Thanks!

chaos Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Also, you can surf to http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com. Login with your credentials and select 'User Files'. Use the filter 'Device Profiles'... Hey Presto! "It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage..."
MatuX Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Thanks for the prompt response guys! I'll check that out!
Echo179 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I personally prefer Athlonic's profile for DCS A10c, with a few modifications that sit me better. It's pretty close to how the controls are actually set up, and make a lot of sense. One thing to remember is to clear the preconfigured controls for the stock and throttle in DCS itself, and to make sure the axis are set up correctly. This prevents button presses trying to do two different things, and prevents issues like when you throttle up, you also roll.
