Just started learning flying the sabre gone to the outside view and seen or not seen rather there are no American stars badges all other markings are there i.e. yellow flashes writing etc. but no star badges. I zoomed into the other planes f86's on the tarmac and they to have no star badges how do I get them to appear my game is via steam and I confess to only flying the planes not how any of the files work HELP.

This was in the instant action cold start up i've not looked in any other missions etc.

Just read in this forum from 12.5.14 that it been reported as ticket n0.28852 then it says UPDATE :and already fixed internally i'm on 1.2.12.35194 on steam and this isn't fixed on mine. I'm a little confused does this mean its sorted but i'm not upto date or its sorted but not been released yet.

"Internally" means it's been fixed in the game version used by devs and will make it to "public" version with one of upcoming patches. Haven't had a chance to test the latest update yet, but judging from your description, it's possible the fix just didn't make it to "our" revision and we'll have to wait for it a bit longer.

If I were You, I would download some custom F-86 skins (especially the ones made by Bo_Nidle), which are way cooler than default ones anyway :).

To use it, you need to go into the mission planner, add the airframe, and you'll get a side bar with all the options for waypoints, starting configuration and location etc. There is a drop down list for skins - specific to the chosen nationality - and you can select them there. The drop down menu is located in the armaments tab, and the nationality selection is at the top.

I tried it as well, loading several skin folders I downloaded, but the drop down box still show no skins available.

Seems there is a broke link between the Liveries folder and the mission editor.

Did you name the folder in liveries properly? It has to be:

..\DCS World\Bazar\Liveries\F-86F Sabre

For reference, if you go into \Mods\Aircraft\[aircraftName]\entry.lua, you'll often find the correct folder name to use in bit of code saying "Make Flyable(...)".

Thanks you Buzzles! That was it. I had named the folder "F-86f" as instructed in the "Read Me" in the skin folder I downloaded. Making the correction you suggest made all the skins I downloaded now available.

Very much appreciate the kind assist.
