N1tch Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Hi all, I'm slowly improving with the F15 and flying CAP for ground forces on multiplayer servers however I'm wondering if there are any good youtube tutorials / videos going over how best to handle different engagements. I know some basic principals but would love to learn more advanced maneuvers and the situations you should use them in. I appreciate this is not necessarily F15 specific but I thought I'd start here. Thanks for reading N1tch.
TAW_Blaze Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 http://forums.eagle.ru/search.php?searchid=7985491 There are a ton of threads about BVR discussion. I'd recommend reading them, you never know when you find something interesting. Pretty much all tactics are derived from the very basics and the properties of the aircrafts. The idea is that you learn them as much as you can because this is what will help you making good decisions appropriate to the situation rather than picking one from a set of templates. If you want more definite answers on what you should do, it's best to ask a specific question.

I appreciate the link and yes specific questions should hopefully start coming the more I improve. One of the issues I've found with a forum that has been going for such a long time is doing basic searches for information when I don't have a specific question on improving has so far proven over whelming with threads. EDIT - I tried the link and it says "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." Thanks again
TAW_Blaze Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Lovely. Hit search/advanced search then select search titles only, look for "BVR".
jhagge Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 This video is in Flaming Cliffs 2, but it is still relevant to the f15 in the Flaming Cliffs 3. It goes into great detail about TWS mode and other things you need to know about the radar. Also trawling through past posts I found an old video (I'm sure many of you have seen before) called Art of the Kill Though I understood some of the principals described I actually didn't understand fro ma physics POV how they worked (physics was never my strongest subject) and this made understanding situations clearer to me. It's available to watch N1tch

Thanks for reading N1tch. I'm pretty much at the same point in my learning curve that you are. There was a time when I thought I would never get a kill. There's no substitute for time practicing. Paying close attention to those more experienced in MP has been a big help. You might find this link helpful. It concerns Falcon BMS, but of course the principals are the same.
