Honest989 Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 I'm curious, because i'm on the 2nd a-10 mission and we climb to about 15k feet before we reach our target area.. problem is that when I attempt to do CCIP on the buggers at that height, the pip drops alright but then i get a big cross and nothing releases. Then we both get shot down :P
GGTharos Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 Use CCRP! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
WhiskeyRomeo Posted April 7, 2006 Posted April 7, 2006 What Ripple Quantity & Interval are you using?
Guest IguanaKing Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 Not sure about the maximum release altitude, but with the Mk20 in LOMAC you have to damn near score a direct hit on a target to kill it. Try using CCRP like GG suggested. Not sure how much good it'll do for you, since we can't set the burst height for the weapon. ;)
Dice Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 The A-10s LASTE radar altimeter data is invalid above 15K so CCIP doesn’t (shouldn’t) work. Also CBUs are inaccurate above a few 1,000s feet, that’s why the WCMD was developed. Before you ask CCRP uses angles, air speed, and altitude to give a release point and doesn‘t rely on radar information. Ugly but well hung!
SUBS17 Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 What about the BA setting? In Falcon I set BA for 3000ft, AD for 1.00sec and Nose. I notice that some of these settings are available in the A-10s pit but not accessable for FC. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
