RATO bottle jettison

Why can't I figure out how to drop these after take off ?

 

 

I enable the switch, but I don't see anything to drop them off the airframe

You have to open the cover and press the release button. The button is under a red cover just in front of the throttle. The ASO-2 chaff/flares are fired using the same button btw. The switch on the right hand side of the cockpit is nothing more than a power switch for the system, just like everything else on those panels.

Left side, in front of the throttle, a red cover to be opened and pushed to jettison JATO rockets.
