I have been playing for about a month now and have recently decided to attempt the campaign mode. While the first few missions went smoothly (for the most part) I am now having a very difficult time with being intercepted by fighters.

I note that there are friendly fighters attempting to sweep but I always seem to get jumped about the time I am trying to get in hot and my cover never seems to cover.

I have been shot down after I completed my mission by trying to shoot that one last tank. From now on I am getting in, getting done, and getting out.

I know the best tactic is avoidance but they (fast movers) seem to be everywhere around the target area and I end up running tail tucked until I just can't dodge anymore missiles. Any advise would be welcome.

Correct, it should be in there. Txshooter: Check the briefing and it will tell you how to contact CAP/SEAD. I also find that the campaigns are very unrealistic in terms of what you are expected to do with an A10C.

Try 'Hunt For Jackal' Campaign, that is a nice realistic campaign where you are not sent in against dozens of SU27's, multiple SAMS, MANPADS and more AAA than was guarding Berlin during WW2.

It is a more realistic 'modern' day rebel/insurgent hunt type campaign instead of waging all out war with an A10 :P

That helps a bunch. Thanks guys....I did not realize I needed to request their help. I will try the other campaign as well.

I just figured there was something I was doing wrong...

It's been a while since I did campaign last but are you sure there isn't a F10 radio function where you can call in CAP support. Normally they would respond with something like "Dogde pushing waypoint 2".

What's the mission called?

Cheers

Hans

It was Georgia Hammer Ca Campaign....I think mission 4-0-0 or something to that effect.

Also call in the SEAD flight when you get spiked by radar, let them take out the SAMs
