TheTrooper Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Hi all, I'm getting to grips with the Sukhoi 27 and 33 on Flaming Cliffs 3. Never tried multiplayer yet or what custom missions are out there etc. Is anyone out there interested or currently doing virtual squadrons EU or UK the occational evening? Quite like the idea of playing with humans instead of AI. ----------------------------------------------- Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-6700 (3.4GHz) 8MB Cache | 32GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2133MHz | MSI GeForce RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G |SSD 1TB 970 EVO Plus M.2
104th_Maverick Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) Welcome! Its great that you've decided to take the step up to Multiplayer, its far more demanding than Single Player and a thousand times more rewarding! You should join our Teamspeak 3 server and find a buddy / wingman to fly with, then join our dedicated server which has more than 30 clients flying in it on a daily basis. Our squadron mainly flies the F-15C however we have lots of users who use our teamspeak and dedicated server on a daily basis that exclusively fly the SU27 and other Eastern jets, so your sure to find someone to tag along with! However be warned, our server is aimed at more advanced users of DCS, there are no external views or labels and flying against more experience pilots can be brutal if your new and trying to learn. You could also look at joining the ***TAW*** server that are currently running one of the 104th missions Operation Timberline. Although you will still find some advanced users on here, the server does have external views enabled making it slightly easier for newer players to the sim to get started, it is a good environment to learn your craft in! Another great option would be one of the 51st PVO Squadron servers, these guys specialise in flying the SU27 as we do in the F-15C, they also have a Teamspeak 3 server (details in their mission brief) that you can join and find a wingman on! 104th TeamSpeak Address: 50.197.62.13 Pass = phoenix Good luck! TheTrooper Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Cheers for that Rage I will do that. Need to get to more grips of SU-27 at the mo. Seems to be a sensitive aircraft. Keep spinning out during dogfights at the moment otherwise I'm definately winning. Any pointers on preventing that spin out would be good. ----------------------------------------------- Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-6700 (3.4GHz) 8MB Cache | 32GB HyperX FURY DDR4 2133MHz | MSI GeForce RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G |SSD 1TB 970 EVO Plus M.2
*Rage* Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Smooth inputs. Always trim. Watch negative Gs esp in afterburner. Trim! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 64th "Scorpions" Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 195.201.110.22
TheTrooper Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 Thanks, never thought of trimming while in middle of close combat. Working well so far!
