I was under the impression, that the key feature of the F-15 is to be able to turn off it's radar and fire missiles at enemies, using data provided by AWACS aircraft. This way the F-15 stays undetected and, although the enemy knows that it is being painted by the AWACS, he never knows when to expect a missile up his tail.

Unfortunately - I have no clue how is this (if it is) implemented in DCSW. Seemingly, one would need a datalink for that, though there is no mention of it in the documentation.

Any thoughts on that?

1) current F-15C doesn't have datalink (or a functional MFD at all). Hopefully we get them with ASM.

2) whichever APG-63 the modeled plane has is incapable of doing such things, not even the missiles we have are compatible with that. Only C7+ and D models of AMRAAM are known to do such stuff.

Radar off =/= invisible.
