Hi all,

Today i managed to land the mig 21 at Sukumi Babushara (without the chute)!

So quite happy, but it is lightly damaged and i want to request repairs and refueling, i put the radio on and requested refueling and repairs but nothing happens, i am off the runway at a "parking space" where several choppers are stationed,

Where and how can u refuel?

You can refuel and repair anywhere on an airfield, given it is friendly (or neutral?).

Press the . (period) key to bring up the rearm menu. Repairing is done by switching off the engine and calling ground crew within the coms menu.

It is a neutral station, but somehow it does not seem to work

Also the menu for ground crew is black, so not selectable?

I request refueling and the pilot speaks into comms, channel is on 18 sukumi and switch set to radio (not compass), so what am i missing=

Might be that the airport has to be the same side (blue or red). Try to place a fuel truck of the same side (blue or red) on the airfield you intend to land on and try again.

Also try to open your canopy before speaking to ground crew.

The airbase must be assigned to your side in mission editor for the ground crew to do any work on the airplane. The radio doesn't have to be on. Actually, nothing has to be on and the ground crew should reply to requests anyway.

Double check if You have the blue/red set correctly!

The user interface is just fine as is the refuelling and rearming.

Go to the 'Advanced Editor' and look for the button "manage attachments" and click on it. A new window opens with three boxes where you can select files. Select the track you want to upload (it has to be either in .trk format). After you selected the file click on the button labeled "Upload".

Wait a few seconds and after that you are done.

You can also add an attachment through editing an old post instead of creating a new one.

Guys, thanks for the replies

Although i do ask noob questions, since i am new to dcs, in this case i think my frustration is justified. I know how to save the track and upload it. I just performed a good landing using a new hotas profile and saved the track, when i upload it, it shows everything fine but i crash?! I replay the track without tacking control by pressing the pause/break button

Here is the track,

Has anybody encountered this? Thats why i got frustrated, the replays never show what happens?

The replays in DCS are not actual recordings per se, but repeated simulations, where your computer attempts to play the mission again, using controller input data from your flight, saved in .trk file.

Needles to say, they don't always work as they should, and after every game update, the old ones can only end up in a trash can.

The only thing which could be judged from your track even in its corrupted form, was being very slow all the time, doing 300-350 km/h where 500-600 would be more appropriate. For a good start, play a landing tutorial mission a couple of times and stick more or less to speeds and altitudes suggested there, it will make your landings easier.

To repair:

1. Plane has stopped

2. Engine is off

3. Airfield is assigned to your side (Red or Blue).
