Datalink for F-15C Wish Item

This game is unfair! totally Favorable to the Russians.

in this game F-15C do not have datalink. only the su-27 has datalink that of a great advantage to the su-27. advantage unfair..

in real life the f-15C has datalink, here in DCS F-15C has do not have datalink.

 

Please add the datalink in F-15C. fix it

 

First of all welcome to the forum. You joined some days ago, your experience is based on how many flying hours?

 

- Don't see this as a game, it's a simulator not Battlefield 4 (as mentioned: life ins't fair nor balanced)

 

- Do you know that flying in a formation, communicating with each other and employing tactics can simply counter this issue?

 

- You are aware that the F-15C in DCS is not the same build than the actual USAF version? (btw same for the Su-27 which had a lot of upgrades)

 

- You know that you own an aircraft with a "light" simulation level where the focus goes on tactics and flying skills? (For real simulations, look for the A-10C, Mig-21, F-86, or the Belsimtek helos)

 

Spend some time on online servers, consume a lot of BVR/WVR documents and most of all, get some folks flying with you. I can promise you, trying the lone wolf scenario will make you regret your purchase.

Holy crap! this stuff have been discussed since the game came out. All the jets are missing something or another jet has something better. That's just how the world is, one country has better tech then another. Team work is the best thing online and pisses lone wolf guys off. No jets fly alone, at least no US jets, always have a wingman.

1° Because you seem very knowledgeable in aircraft . Did you know that ground units use the health meter ? Yes . Call of duty .

The lack of a datalink in the F-15 does have a cascading effect that I can see getting worse whenever missile performance gets fixed. Not so much in 'fairness' vs the Russian craft, but in not having a reliable enough way to see friendlies between you and the bandit. Particularly for those not making active use of the PRF settings (which doesn't function absolutely accurately anyhow). I know I've 'evaded' a number of friendly 120, intended for an enemy I was near or engaging, as by product of the poor missile performance. Flankers tend to only get IR teamkills from a blatant disregard of IFF with radar. When Russians have datalink they get double assurance, along with the Mig knowing whether its wise to employ the R-77. There will (probably?) be a point where we can start taking 20nm+ long shots with realistic Pk, with actives that will have the performance left to kill any friendly in between.

The mod here has already stated there will be no add on toys for FC3 aircraft, what might seem an easy addition to you might be an absolute nightmare for the programmers.

 

Anything that basically exists in code already from functional perspective is not complicated to apply elsewhere. The fact that datalink is a thing in the sim, means the additional work is a matter of the differing graphical representation. Backend vs frontend. While there is obviously no incentive to enhance the FC3 aircraft in this respect, this existing work on the datalink is obviously going to spill over into the upcoming DCS modules that have it. F-18C?
