GreyBadger Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Hi All Quick question. I've not flown "FC3" since before Christmas and today I decided to take it up for a quick shakedown to blow the dust off the joystick. I normally start each engine individually and talk to tower etc before wheels up, but today my HUD didn't come on and tower would not talk to me. I tried restarting the sim in case it was a glitch, but with the same result. Thinking something must be amiss I tried it again but this time using "Shift Home" to auto start. Still no HUD and still no tower. Finally, looking through the controls list I saw "Shift and L" for electrics and on the off chance I tried it and bingo! HUD came on. I presume tower will also talk to me now but I ran out of time and didn't put it to the test. I feel stupid asking this question, but am I losing it in my old age? I don't ever remember having to do this before. (At least not in the A-10a) I checked my rough start up notes (such as they are for this more basic sim) and sure enough there is no mention of having to press "shift L" . In fact "L" only seems to come into play at all for the various cockpit and headlights and I haven't really used them much so far. Yours obviously still recovering from Christmas... Badger
