elniuniek Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 3 games in 1: ARMA DCS SPINTYRES... i can wait 10 years! :pilotfly:
DarkFire Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 As others have commented the current operating limit is computer performance. I'm sure we've all seen how slowly the sim can run when there's plenty of action going on. Introduce an entire order of magnitude (at least) more detail in order to accommodate first=-person sized detail and the entire thing would grind to a horrible halt. Maybe in 10-15 years time hardware will be sufficiently powerful to enable this. It would be utterly awesome, but I just can't see it with current CPU power. System Spec: Cooler Master Cosmos C700P Black Edition case. | AMD 5950X CPU | MSI RTX-3090 GPU | 32GB HyperX Predator PC4000 RAM | | TM Warthog stick & throttle | TrackIR 5 | Samsung 980 Pro NVMe 4 SSD 1TB (boot) | Samsung 870 QVO SSD 4TB (games) | Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Personal wish list: DCS: Su-27SM & DCS: Avro Vulcan.

Archaic Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Different clients sharing the same map. Imagine flying DCS within the ARMA3 map. I don't know why this wouldn't be possible to some degree. Like an interface sending code telling the AI in the different games what to do. So the computer aircraft in ARMA are responding to inputs from DCS, and infantry in DCS is receiving code from ARMA, yet each populate that input within their own client. Been thinking about that for a few years. i7 - 9700k | EVGA 1080Ti | 32 DDR4 RAM | 750w PS | TM Warthog HOTAS/X-55 | Track IR 5 |
