Fat T is above, thin T is below. Long T is faster, Short T is slower. Open triangle is AWACS, closed triangle is your own sensors. Double dash is friendly, Single dash is enemy. Circle is friendly. Strobe is jammer. Strobe to dash is under 35 km. HDD is 7 times range key. Radar to 160 km, IRST to 10 km. Stay low, but never slow.

Yes and this means I had made things in the wrong direction. Last time being aware the real wind direction I successfully could take off and did it on heading 100 deg.

That will do it.....

You proved the wisdom of not ever landing or taking off in a taildragger with a tailwind.

Good job man. Now work on your crosswind landings !!!! :P :joystick:

Answers to most important questions ATC can ask that every pilot should memorize:

1. No, I do not have a pen. 2. Indicating 250

You're using the yoke instead of a stick?

Brave man.

Yes. I do have and tried a sidewinder joystick but I missed a lot of buttons that I have on the yoke. Also I didn't get the impression it was easier with the yoke.

this mission appears to be bugged. In the briefing it says winds 017 degrees at 10 m/s, but ATC says wind at 15 m/s. Another thing, if you load the mission into editor, it displays a taxiway as "takeoff from runway".

Another thing, I just tried a takeoff from the western end (IE 090) but runway is marked with a "10" from that end.

Oh, and just to make it clear, 017 degrees is the direction the wind is blowing from, which means taking off from the eastern end with added rudder trim will always produce significant left yaw, with even 8 degrees of right rudder trim.

OP, do you have rudder pedals?

Regarding bugs in this mission. After finishing the cross wind take off I had to land in the next mission. My landing ended with wings off and plane on fire and I was told that I had successfully landed the plane.
