oddsniper Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 (edited) Hello. As you probably know, the SU 27 wants to climb allot unless you trim it. However, I can't trim the aircraft downwards or in any direction for that matter. Pressing the default Trim nose down key does absolutely nothing. Neither does any other keys I might add. I also wonder what the function of the 'stick to trimmer control mode' button does if anyone knows? SOLVED: Do not select force feedback if your stick isnt. As for the other question I still wonder. ShuRugal Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 stick to trimmer mode button turns the stick into a trimmer, but not in the way that would make intuitive sense: when pressed, moving the stick away from center has the same effect as holding down the trimmer button in that direction, but at a slower speed. Unfortunately, there is an enormous dead-zone, and the minimum speed the trim moves at is still large enough to over-shoot, so you end up whipping the stick all over the place trying to get trimmed. better just to use the trimmer buttons.
Svend_Dellepude Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Make sure force feedback is turned off in options. It could be that. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Win10 64, Asus Maximus VIII Formula, i5 6600K, Geforce 980 GTX Ti, 32 GB Ram, Samsung EVO SSD.

Ok better just use the buttons then I see. Make sure force feedback is turned off in options. It could be that. Yes I found out but thanks for reply.

Thanks so much! - I connected a Logitech RumblePad 2 as I'm waiting for my new HOTAS and was totally annoyed by having to push down with the stick all the time. Trimming didn't work. Everything works fine now that I switched off FF (I thought it was for the rumble effects).

This. It's probably set up so that it works quite effectively using a stick that's the same length as an actual Su-27 stick, but with the typically short consumer joysticks that most of us use, it's horribly inaccurate and the trimmer buttons are a much better option. Ironhand Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 The problem is that, with non-FF sticks, pressing the stick to trimmer button also moves the stick that you have already moved to the position you want it to lock in. amerriman Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 Rudder issues with a Predator Joystick Hi, I'm a newbie to FC3, i've set the rudder to have a large deadzone as each time I moved it it was causing lots of yaw. However this works great for left rudder but right rudder remains as sensitive? is there a seperate axis for left and right? please help, i might just have to turn it off altogether at this rate and use ZX!

No, there aren't two separate axes assuming you're under the Axis tab in the Su-27's (or whatever aircraft you want to alter) controls menu. Check and make sure that there are no other key combos or axes interfering. This last is the most likely culprit.
