Pilotasso Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 My country has recently re-established an acrobatic team from the aircraft that are still left form the Alpha jet light attack jets: Who painted the aircraft must have been watching too much japanese manga. :D To me it looks something straight out of macross series LOL. .
Maverick-90 Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 are those the guys comin' to Open Dagen in Netherlands this year?
Pilotasso Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 They have been on the Czech International Air Fest last spetember, I dunno if they are going to netherlands. .
dynamocl Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Aerobatics, not acrobatics (I was expecting to see a national squad of ladies in fancy lycra jumping aroound).
Pilotasso Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 Yah thats their name. They used to fly tutors and were disbanded many years ago. They have been reactivated thanks to the initiative of a few high ranking pilots who had the idea of using the remaining airframes left out of a fleet of 60. They fly other similar airframes on exercises VS F-16's. I had the oportunity to watch a mock engagement when I was on trip in a deserted part of the country a few years back. .
Maverick-90 Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 cool! gonna see them at Leuwarden AB Netherlands on 17th/18th of June 2006 :)
