  1. mvsgas, as the intro to your video says, that is from a AGM-130, which I beleive can be steered mid flight by the crew, which is why it provides video feedback: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-130 I don't think the A-10 are fitted to use this weapon system.
  2. Surely you can create a fast mission, and then edit it to add CA features?
  3. And to keep altitude remember to use the collective brake too. Search for it, plenty of material in the forums :)
  4. Shame not included the UK as an associated Squadron. Will wait to see if this changes, if at all.
  5. The upgrade will enable you to convert a BS1 install to a BS2. BS2 'Upgrade' isn't an upgrade on BS2. Just to make it clear (or not).
  6. Flaw of the pilot more like. To be fair to the system, what you explain sounds like pilot error :) As mentioned earlier, don't engage targets with the gun reticle on the left limit, as the increase in force will rotate you. Counteract with left rudder input.
  7. Yup, very easy to set up. Just reconfigured my views this weekend after having a friend return a monitor. This will help you no end: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815
  8. Hi All, Not managed to find this anywhere, but with the addition of more aircraft, 3rd party and DCS's own, creating missions for each aircraft type might get a bit messy, and worse you could find yourself joining a mission to find your favourite aircraft is not catered for. I wonder if the developers have given any thought to having an "any aircraft" slot, so that a player can chose the aircraft to fly, provided that it fills the role specified. For example, consider the future when the Harrier becomes available. It would be nice to have a CAS slot that can be filled by either a Harrier or A-10 pilot. Obviously needs to check that you are not getting any guys wanting to do fighter sweeps in a huey! Now I know the "realistic" way would be to have a mission that caters for all players and aircraft - but a lot of missions won't, and the required development to provide X seats for each aircraft without overloading the server introduces another issue. Wonder what peoples thoughts were on this?
  9. Why don't you turn labels on as well while you are at it? :) It is the bad guy's job to hide in trees and surprise you. Keep your eyes open, fly above the engagement zone, and send in the SEAD birds!
  10. Obvious question, but why not ask out right? Show an interest, and if he enjoys talking about it as much as you think, I am sure he will tell you, and will enjoy telling you. Ask about the stuff he got up to, and what unit he was associated with. I am sure that would make his day. Much better than guessing, then getting a Squadron crest from the wrong unit. You don't have to let on that you are planning to get something.
  11. You are wanting to see something like this? I wouldn't have thought SAMs were that visible as you are flying around... I don't think they are designed with being visible in mind :) But agree, they do leave a nice trail behind:
  12. A small request compared to others, but how about having the correct rank names for each nation you select for the pilot. The effort has gone into to having the correct icons for each rank, but the name is shown as the US equivalent. For example at the moment, pilot is from UK, promoted twice so the icon for Flight Lieutenant will be shown, but rank name given as Captain. I realise this could be edited in the logbook and countries.lua, but would be nice working out of the box.
  13. Old post, I know. But no matter what nationality I select for my pilot, the American rank names are shown. Something I wished came "out of the box", but is it a case of editing the db_countries.lua file? Probably one for the another forum perhaps.
  14. Can you explain why children are starving becuase these "internet" abbreviations are used? I don't use them myself because IMHO their is no excuse for not using correct and proper English, punctuation and sentance structure also. (Irony added for efect)
  15. Guys, on behalf of everyone else who browse the forum and who are not ex or serving US military personnel, can you explain "Artcle 15", NJP and BTH? Thanks.
