I was playing a mission the other day with 1 other player. We were both flying Hueys.

2 of our targets were Ka-25 (not to be confused with Ka-52). It took a TON of bullets from my Huey to bring one of those down. Later we decided to have a helo..... "dogfight"..... and it took very little bullets to drop the Huey.

I find it kind of hard to believe a Ka-25 would be that much tougher than a Huey.

Is there some sort of issue with the damage model of "air" (I use that term loosely considering it's a Helo) units in DCS?

Please note I usually fly Helo's so rarely if ever engage "air" units.

Like Zeke said the damage model on AI units is terrible. It really ruins some missions wich require you to kill a heavy plane like an AWACS that gets hit by like 3 missiles and then lands on 1 engine with almost no fight control surfaces remaining.

If i had a dollar for every AI that cheated death i'd have enough money to highhandedly fund DCS F18 lol
