Sierra99 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Gentlemen... I asked once before but not sure I ever saw an answer...would it be possible to have the callsigns Pedro and Sandy added to the static callsigns available for building missions. Sandy has always been associated with SAR and Pedro is currently in use overseas in Afghanistan for CSAR. Thanks in advance. sierra99 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Primary Computer ASUS Z390-P, i7-9700K CPU @ 5.0Ghz, 32GB Patriot Viper Steel DDR4 @ 3200Mhz, ZOTAC GeForce 1070 Ti AMP Extreme, Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVMe drives (1Tb & 500 Gb), Windows 10 Professional, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Thrustmaster Warthog Stick, Thrustmaster Cougar Throttle, Cougar MFDs x3, Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals and TrackIR 5. -={TAC}=-DCS Server Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3, i7-3770K CPU @ 3.90GHz, 32GB G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3 @ 1600Mhz, ZOTAC GeForce® GTX 970.
Grimes Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 There is a feature request with a big huge list of callsigns on it. I don't know what is holding it back, my best guess would be voice over work that matches the current voice. I'm sure it could be modded in, just not sure how precisely. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. chromium Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 To me it would be ok even whitout voiceover, proven that the US second callsing digit could be also manually modified. Otherwise, they would be silly as today :) Author of DSMC, mod to enable scenario persistency and save updated miz file Stable version & site: https://dsmcfordcs.wordpress.com/ Openbeta: https://github.com/Chromium18/DSMC The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

As silly as that sounds at first... I get it. Every pilot sounds different in the real world, the sim uses the same words jumbled up and put together for different situations. Just having someone say the different callsigns wouldn't match. How many words / phrases are in the voice file? Thanks for the info Grimes!
