Non module specific topics in module specific sections

Is there any official policy regarding the issue? Without one (and some additional rules) the forum is on a slippery slope to serious mess. With the release of new modules new people join the forums, in numbers.

 

Take the custom snap views for example. One topic is in the Mustang section and one in the Kurfurst section. Both deal with DCS camera system which is completely universal.

I think there a couple rules in the forum that touch on this, that said, these forums can be quite busy, we mods do our best to catch all the out of place stuff. If you think you found something that needs moved or what have you, feel free to use the 'report post' function to let us know...

I do forum lurking almost exclusively so I can help clean up a good deal of topics but at the same time I wouldn't want to bombard you guys with reports by a rule that I got wrong or that doesn't exist. I reckon I'll get a 'this topic is fine!' notification if I'm off with my judgement. It may easily happen with the input-related topics in module-specific sections. Sometimes it's arguable whether a certain problem is module-specific or not. I'll try to limit myself to the cases more on the safe side.

 

Any word on any changes to the rules with the aim of enforcing more self-control? There are plenty of 'Noob question...' and 'A problem here!' topics and there are certainly going to be more of them.
