I bought a (second hand) X52 Pro. After installing drivers and connecting the stick, I noticed that when I push the throttle forwards, the lights in the throttle arch are red. If I push beyond the "AB-detent", the lights turn green.

From what I'm reading everywhere, this is the wrong way around: lights should be green in the first 3/4 of the movement, and turn red if pushed full throttle.

What could have happend? Previous owner opened the thing and connected some wires the wrong way around perhaps? If yes, is this easily altered?

That is a weird one. I had to hook mine up and double check and you are correct. Green for the first 3/4 and red after.

I checked the set screen and found no check marks for reversing.

My suggestion is to check the throttle bottom and see if there is any signs of dis-assembly. If I recall correctly the rectangle in the middle of the base should have a sticker cover the screw hole.

If it looks like it was tampered with, then open up, Carefully and look for secondary(post production) soldering.

I can not at this time think of anything that would reverse the lights, it is either on or off (controlled by sst) after that the led color is controlled by throttle position.

Sounds like they are reversed. But I suppose the big question is does it even matter? I always found the lights to be nothing but a pretty thing when not being used and sitting on top of my speakers. Can't say I ever looked at them while playing a game with it.
