Training Mission - Instruction Recall

Is there a way to recall the last instruction given during a training mission?

 

Often times it takes me a while to either complete the task at hand or I miss the trigger to progress the training. When the text disappears from the screen I am often stuck or need to restart the training mission from the beginning.

 

Also, is there a text version of the dialogue in the training missions?

I think it's backspace. I've never used it, but I remember there being something in the control bindings that sounds like it does what you want.

As a noob I used the Active Pause key (L/shift+L/Win+Pause) This makes it go quiet and gives you time to inwardly digest,

Ya, I don't think backspace does anything like that.
