Hi good people, this has I guess already been proposed but it might be worth a second thought. I'd love to see a module for DCS that would allow to take control of a long range SAM site like an SA-2 for example. It's not recent, it shouldn't be very hard to find good info, but what do I know. I'd definitely be giggling launching those huge things at my squad buddies. (Stay cool with me guys) Also, when flying, knowing that a human operated SAM radar might be tracking you, could add to the pucker factor. What are your thoughts?

Here's some good info, if you want to study:

:D

P. S: to answer your question: yes, that could be fun I think, like hunting a sub with a chopper and a network of sonobuoys.

Only if enemy aircraft would be forced to navigate through the array of SAM sites.

A scenario of a F-117 penetration, with SA-2's (and of course a radar model up to the task) would make an awesome hide'n'seek :pilotfly:

SA-2 (even AI only) was suggested numerous times already. I completely agree with you. Unfortunately it isn't reality yet.

In fact I even tried to build it myself (but my modelling skills in DCSW aren't developed far and I don't have the time ATM).

EDIT: Just for reference: In this thread I explained why a SA-2 would be great:
