Hello All,

I was wondering how many of you still flying LOMAC with or without FC2? Our Virtual Air Force mainly fly on FSX, X-plane, Falcon Bms, and DCS, but I was told to recruit for LOMAC as well specially for someone that doesn't have a monster pc to run DCS, can still join us. I am taking a break from Falcon Bms and looking forward to try out LOMAC and to meet new people as well. You will also have the option to file a pilot report to keep track of your hours and a reliable way for promotion opportunity. Please post back on here if any of you are interested and I will give you all the info so we can all meet over on Teamspeak.

Thanks Guys,

I doubt you will find a lot of people still flying LOMAC or FC2. It's simply pretty old and with FC3 and all the other awesome modules available there won't be much interest I suppose. I personally don't even fly FC3 any more because I want to flip all the cockpit switches instead of hitting the keyboard all the time.

Maybe you should just try one of them and most likely you'll get addicted. :) Let me know and we might fly together.

If I would like to fly SFM I could get it for free at World of Warplanes.

You only need 2 of the following 3: Altitude - Speed - Skill

It should also be noted that even a non-monster PC is capable of running DCS.

I had a friend I flew with who was using a Surface Pro 2, which does not even meet the minimum requirements for DCS, and with all the graphics settings at minimal he was able to get around 30FPS. This, while not buttery smooth is perfectly usable.

Be sure you have your friend give DCS a shot before writing it off, he or she might be surprised.

Hi TAC-1,

I am new to DCS and only fly the P-51D and the F-86. I would love to join up somewhere to learn how to get the most out my flying. I feel alone out here trying to sort it all out. What is LOMAC?

It is always best to not fly too fast or fly too slow. So I fly half fast. :D

Hey Pete,

LOMAC is an acronym for Lock On: Modern Air Combat.

It's essentially Flaming Cliffs 3 with simplified flight models and an older 3D engine.

I'm not much of a Mustang or Sabre pilot, but I can get up & around.

I'd be happy to fly with you some time if you need a wingman, shoot me a PM.

Last time I looked, there were at least a dozen servers playing FC2 and BS1.

The one I joined was full, and friendly fun, too. LOMAC/FC/FC2 isn't dead yet. I play it because I like it, in addition to DCS World. Why not?

Whats up guys? Well, no joy for me I tried FC3 with low settings and it was bad. I think I will stick with FC2 for a while. Are there any good F-18's maybe start a Naval squadron?

Let me know,

Thanks guys.

Not trying to talk smack, Brixmis, just explaining the nature of the beast. :)

My comments were aimed at supporting the poster and balancing the thread, not having a dig at anyone, but thanks for explaining anyway :smilewink:
