Hi everyone, I have purchased FC3 but I have no idea how to use it. I have DCS world installed and am currently playing with the free aircraft. How canI use the FC3 ones?

download it from here:http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/modules/?PAGEN_1=2

Then on the first mission you start, put in your serial when the authorization window pops.

alternately, start DCS:World, click the module manager, and it should be downloadable from there if registered with your account ;)

anyway, steam or stand alone version? might make a difference.

All I get is a buy page when I click it in game, but so far hasn't helped me in anyway. My dcs world install is on steam but my FC3 is not a steam purchase. It is purchased directly from the DCS people themselves.

There's your problem. You *cannot* use new non-Steam purchases with the Steam install. Valve have no record of your serial/purchase, and that's Valve's choice, not ED's. Hence the big red "Not for Steam" when your add something to the basket in ED's shop.

Solution:

Download non-steam DCS World direct from ED and use that instead. Bonus is that ED manage the updates, and new modules tend to come out weeks if not months earlier for the standalone :)
