Hi all, I'd like to buy a new monitor and I am a little confused about what to buy. Useless to buy Asus RoG Swift PG278Q, right?

I play DCS with my ASUS ROG laptop wich has limitations compared to a desktop but still performs quite well.

Specs are:

Asus ROG G750 Notebook, Display 17.3 Pollici Full HD, Processore Intel Core i7-4700HQ, CPU @2.40 GHz - GPU GEFORCE GTX 770M - RAM 16 GB - Solid state HD

 

1920X1080 REFRESH RATE 120 Hz

After using a 42 inch 1080p TV for three years, I don't think I can go back to anything smaller... Except for a VR headset maybe.

 

I look at 55" samsung tv, before 40"....how bigger how better..:thumbup::pilotfly:

New system:I9-9900KS, Kingston 128 GB DDR4 3200Mhz, MSI RTX 4090, Corsair H150 Pro RGB, 2xSamsung 970 EVO 2Tb, 2xsamsung 970 EVO 1 TB, Scandisk m2 500 MB, 2 x Crucial 1 Tb, T16000M HOTAS, HP Reverb Professional 2, Corsair 750 Watt.

Old system:I7-4770K(OC 4.5Ghz), Kingston 24 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz,MSI RTX 2080(OC 2070 Mhz), 2 * 500 GB SSD, 3,5 TB HDD, 55' Samsung 3d tv, Trackir 5, Logitech HD Cam, T16000M HOTAS. All DCS modules, maps and campaigns:pilotfly:

I would be going to 4k @60hz for that kind of money. Assuming you don't mind 60hz. It's kinda hard to go back once you have had 120hz or more :)

 

Something like this would make DCS sing Philips BDM4065UC 40inch 4K UHD LED Monitor
