MiG-21 the band

I was looking for some good music while I was working on a MiG-21 livery. So I came across this band called "MiG-21". It doesn't seem to be related to the aircraft at all. I had to get used to it a little, but it is quite pleasant music. Any people from the Czech republic around? Has this band got anything to do with the airplane?

As the band's frontman (who is a fairly well known actor here) said, they've chosen the name MiG-21 for three reasons:

 

-they were somewhat inspired by U2's example to choose aviation-related name

-they liked the fact that the plane is old and almost useless, but was designed to instill fear - like the band itself (don't ask - I don't understand what they mean by this either).

-MiG-21 is the most beautiful of all the MiGs, and that's why they chose it specifically

 

So apparently no relation to the plane - but take into account that hundreds of Czech (and Slovak) pilots flew the plane over the decades, and possibly thousands of people were related to the plane's deployments, maintenance, and production (F-13 was produced in the Czechoslovakia as well). It's probably the best known jet fighter in the Czech Republic (even though it was retired from the air force in 2005).

...that's on the wikipedia, but I also read they just stole it from a friend who came up with it... And they're bad and you should feel bad! :D

I really can't understand a word of the language. But the sound of the voice and the music are really pleasant. Not a good soundtrack for flying the MiG-21 to, more like a loungy-easy sunday morning type of music.
