gregzagk Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) Powered by "Buddy Spike" Statistics page: http://89.163.173.82/DCS/AoS/AOS.php Server name : DCS ISRAEL - ACE OF SPADES "Ace of Spades" Air to Air league server officially launches today on the DCS ISRAEL Server! Compete against other players in an instant action and dedicated air to air environment! Built your "Ace Factor" to rank up in the Air to Air league Ladders. -Contact – Arranging matches Pilots can arrange matches: - through the “Buddy Spike” website Forum thread - through the “Shoutbox” at the “Ace of Spades” dedicated webpage - with posts in this thread - directly inside the Server through the DCS World chat with the online players -Matches – Gameplay Please watch the video tutorial below about starting a dogfight match. Depending on the match you selected to play, you must then select the proper Aircraft Slot along with your opponent inside the Server (e.g. 1vs1_modern_FULL for a BVR match with modern fighters). -If both pilots select the proper slot then you are ready to get in your cockpit. -Both pilots must enter their aircraft within 30 seconds in order to start the match. -When inside your cockpit you get a countdown timer that will inform you when the match starts. -Fights on! Matches available: 1vs1 / 2vs2 / 4vs4 Eras: WW2 / 50's / 80's / Modern -Statistics Each pilot's performance is monitored on real time by our Server. Pilots' & Matches statistics are available on our Website. Statistics page: http://89.163.173.82/DCS/AoS/AOS.php -Ace Factor One of the most anticipated feature is the realtime calculation of the Ace Factor. The Ace Factor is the score of each pilot that is being built throughout his match performance. These are the parameters that affect the Ace Factor value: -Air to Air kills Each air to air kill will increase your Ace Factor value. The value of increasement depends on the Ace Factor of the Opponent. That means that if you Kill a strongest enemy, then your Ace Factor increases more than killing an inexperienced pilot. -Deaths Each time you are getting shot down in a match, your Ace Factor decreases. The value of increasement depends on the Ace Factor of the Opponent. That means that if you get shot down by a strongest enemy then your Ace Factor decreases less than getting killed by an inexperienced pilot. -Air to Air Kill Assistance Each time you assist killing an enemy in a 2vs2 or 4vs4 match you increase your Ace Factor value. The percentage of increasement depends again to the Ace Factor of the Opponent. Demon_ Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Very interesting server concept for a fast food dogfight, practice. When your gaming time is limited. Do you use some kind of dot/icon mod for spotting the enemy? Edited August 4, 2015 by Demon_ Attache ta tuque avec d'la broche.
gregzagk Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 Very interesting server concept for a fast food dogfight, practice. When your gaming time is limited (understood Galmone?). Do you use some kind of dot/icon mod for spotting the enemy? Hello. We were using the Label Mod at the first days of the server but removed it temporary cause many pilots were not using it and couldn't connect to the server due to the integrity check. It is planned to use it in the near future again though. Looking forward for somegood dogfights. See you there. :) Greg "ARGO" DCS UH-1H DLC SP Campaign 373vFS DCS World squadron (Greece) - www.buddyspike.net "ARGO 2.0 Project Phoenix" UH-1H DLC Campaign - WIP

Stuge Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Why not make the mod optional and just advertise it on briefing page for example? Any mandatory mod may decrease the population considerably. But it works flawlessly so far, I really like it. Let's hope for more players in the future ;) After a few F-15 gun fights i must say i'm not sure if full internal fuel is good, it makes the fight a little heavy :) maybe 2/3 or half fuel would be better? But this is a matter of taste obviously.. http://www.104thphoenix.com
xcom Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 The problem with making the labels mod optional is that it will not be fair to whoever has the mod. If someone without the mod will join he will see full labels including on weapons etc... Any mandatory mod may decrease the population considerably. This is exactly why we decided to remove it at the moment, we saw many people try to join the server but had gotten kicked out due to the integrity check. We might consider putting it back on after the server gains more regular participants. About the fuel load, we can change the default configs that we have now, if you have any suggestions, please send them over. xcom Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 A little update, we have fixed a small bug that has been found with dead/eject/leave aircraft/pilot dead events. About the Ace Factor - I've published on the Buddy Spike forum the explanation on how it works exactly, please let us know if you have any questions - http://buddyspike.enjin.com/forum/m/32856486/viewthread/23507093-ace-factor-calculation-method The server is now saving the ACMI files into the following directory for anyone who wants to review or debrief a dogfight - http://89.163.173.82/DCS/AoS/ACMI/ Been having a blast doing dogfights and seeing people enjoy the server! Have fun everyone and let the competition begin! :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] BuddySpike Website | Live Map & Statistics BuddySpike Twitch Channel Buddyspike Discord Buddyspike Facebook

Stuge Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 From what i understood from testing, the server supports only one modern-era fight at a time. I think this is way too little since people leave if the only slot is occupied. So yeah more slots would be very nice.. http://www.104thphoenix.com
xcom Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I will look into it. This might be done only for the 1vs1 slots, we don't want to flood too many slots :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] BuddySpike Website | Live Map & Statistics BuddySpike Twitch Channel Buddyspike Discord Buddyspike Facebook
Stuge Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Yes exactly, 1v1 slots are needed. 2v2 and 4v4 are less popular and require more coordinated participation to begin with so they are ok i think ;) http://www.104thphoenix.com
xcom Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Fuel state has been changed for the Modern planes - GUNS - 60% HEATERS - 80% FULL - 100% I'll be working on adding more zones for 1vs1s and run some tests to see if there are any issues.
