on-board clock time wrong?

I think the on-board clock always starts at 12:00. Shouldn't it reflect mission start time?

I think it's more of a timer,

so if you know the your speed & direct line distance to say a target you can calculate and set a countdown time to release for bombs etc

i could be wrong haven't flown it in a while

It's both a clock and a timer (chronograph). The clock portion always starts at noon it seems.

Has to be a bug since 12:00 is the default time of day for new missions , and no timer starts at 12:00... also most if not all planes have a clock/timer combo in them so it's gotta be that.
