Subject: 120 gallon drop (fuel) tanks change texture...ng view.

When zooming in and out in the aircraft view (F2), the 120 gallon drop livery (Skin) changes from the default skin texture to the tank skin from the textured skin from the livery file, and back.

 

Below is the drop tank from the texture description.lua;

{"Fuel_Tank_120gal", 0 , "fuel_tank_120gal_JG71R",false};

--{"Fuel_Tank_120gal", 1 , "fuel_tank_120gal_NM",false};

{"Fuel_Tank_120gal", 2 , "fuel_tank_120gal_SPEC",false};

{"Fuel_Tank_200gal", 0 , "Fuel_Tank_200gal_JG71R",false};

 

I'm working with the F-86F.

 

Anyone know the cause/cure?

Is it a known bug?

 

Has anyone duplicated the problem?

Don't give me a P-38,

The props they counter-rotate,

I ran into this issue before while making liveries, will double check and report.

 

basically seemed like LOD2 would put tanks back to default base texture, LOD1,3+ would be fine.

What do LOD2 , LOD1,3 refer to?

 

I'm new to skinning in DC WORLD and lua scripting.

The Model Detail Levels.

 

LOD1 is the close up

LOD2,is lower Polygons

LOD3 is even lower

Etc Etc

 

As You Move away from the Model, a lower LOD Loads.

Hi All

I've also noticed a problem with the tank textures in that if you surrender control of an aircraft with the textures, Right Alt J or what ever it is and the AI takes over the textures change to the default textures, hope this helps.
