ED. You can put these effects in the clouds of smoke and physical in DCS 2.0? It would be perfect for simulator.

Every so often someone posts about proprietary engines, wether it be PhysX, HairWorks, Water Works etc etc.

 

Simple answer based on past requests is Nope.

 

Its twice the work and twice the hassle, cuz they'll still have to integrate a separate engine for AMD.

 

Big Budget studios that can afford to develop dual engines (EA/UBI, ETC) have already demonstrated that Dual engines for parts of the game is a bad idea, Look at Batman, they had to pull it from sales because of the state it was in, and most of the issues are nVidia Specific Physics and Effects.

 

Besides, AMD and nVidias tech demos are pretty in a rendered environment the size of maybe a large room, up to a Walmart.

 

trying to render those effects and stuff across 300km^2 + would be insane.
