Dappman Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 So after using up all the Migs co2 for brakes and what not, I couldn't figure out how to refill it. I assumed it would be done when you get the aircraft repaired but it didn't. I searched and couldn't find anything on this.
Kelevra9987 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I think it'll be refilled when you Refuel&Rearm... VincentLaw Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I've never actually run out before, but I just tested it and the brakes are refilled during rearming. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Blech Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Hi, During flight - what is your gear handle position ? Manual Page 69 "Neutral position is important: when you retract your gears, compressed air is used to brake the tyres and prevent them from rotating. Once you retract your gears, place the handle in neutral position to prevent further consumption of compressed air. If you forget to do this, you may waste all of your compressed air during flight, so when you land, you won’t be able to use your brakes and drag chute, since these two important systems consume compressed air as an energy source."
Dappman Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 Yes I rearmed\refuel and repaired. After I restarted my engines I saw the co2 pressure was back to normal but when I pressed the brake once nothing happened and I checked the pressure again and it was zero. I checked the gauge on the right side under the radio. Yes I know about the neutral gear position thing. I did leave my flaps button pressed in the whole flight. I don't know if that wastes co2 or not.
VincentLaw Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 (edited) but when I pressed the brake once nothing happened and I checked the pressure again and it was zero.Ah, you are right. I didn't actually check to make sure the brakes were working after I refilled them the first time, but I just verified it. It looks like you found a bug. Just tested again, and this bug ONLY occurs if you drain the CO2 completely. It does refill properly if it is only partially drained. Edited August 31, 2015 by VincentLaw [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Dappman Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 Ok. I made a thread in the bugs section.
Adamski Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Looking at some early videos, I noticed a pleasant hissing sound whenever brakes were engaged. Regardless of the state of my Co2, I don't get this sound (OpenBeta 1.5 and latest build of the Mig-21). I'm wondering whether these two things are related in some way <?>.
Art-J Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Nah, it's a sound bug, which appeared in 1.5. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
Adamski Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Nah, it's a sound bug, which appeared in 1.5. Thanks for that. I thought my sound setup was missing a few channels . At least my brakes still work!
