Short story, while flying online chasing some MiGs behind enemy lines, i found myself in a disadvantageous situation caused by my "F7" key, which decided to quit it's service. Personally i can't exist without AWACS so i use this key very often ( which will certainly be the reason for it to break ) so i tried various ways to map the function to an other key on my keyboard... without success. I tried to use an other key, simulate the F7 key trough a makro key and so on...

Nothing! DCS doens't identify the makro key and the other attempts were useless as well.

Maybe there is a kind fellow out there, willing to help someone in need and describe a way to solve the problem:helpsmilie:

The answer may be obvious but i can't find it.

Dude are you the smartest guy in town?

Obviously any TrackIR user will bind at least re-center.

BUT - The trick is that some function you don't use - and don't reassign because you don't use them - are bound to F7, etc, by default.

And the second tricky thing is that your F7 key will *sometime* work, because if you bash it fast/brutally enough (yep, did that), the tracKIR software won't trap all F7 key presses, making you think your keyboard is working erratically.
