Skulleader Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Hello, I have a question concerning the normal cruise speed of the MiG-21, we must fly to 100% RPM and 800 km/h or 900 km/h or it's better to fly with 80% RPM and 700 Km/h ? In advance a great thanks, Skull. QuiGon Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 From the manual (p. 84): Longest range speed: 650-600 km/h IAS (decreases with altitude) Longest flight duration speed: 480 km/h IAS (doesn’t depend on altitude) There also is a "speeds conversation table" and a "Altitude/fuel consumption table" there as well :book: Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
OverStratos Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 As QuiGon said, it depends of what you want. Maximum distance, or maximum endurance? For ferry flight at heights above 5000m you want to maintain IAS = 620km/h That is with two AA missiles and center tank. f/c = 2.7 l/h.
