Recently, I have installed a new CPU/Mobo/RAM in my rig.

I must say that I didn't feel the need to reinstall the OS, and in fact, windows 7 x64 has reacted to the new hardware well, in the end everything works fine after installing the new drivers (beside some trouble with USB ports, particularly with the x52 pro stick, which I'm going to solve later).

Anyway, I ran DCS world from my old install, which windows is recognizing properly, and upon launching a mission, as I expected, the licensing window appeared, for every mod I own, stating that a significant hardware change occurred and I needed to reactivate.

So I went on to use my serials (I still have activations left for all mods) for every module, like I did in the past when I changed the GPU but..

it says that the activation was accomplished and shows me the number of remaining activation, yet in fact, the window reappears immediately, stating that I need to reactivate. Pressing retry, would again cause it to return that activation has succeeded, but then goes through the loop again. I noticed that the remaining activations number has not decreased, when I pressed reply - in fact the mods were not activated. How do I proceed?

thx

The change you made to your system was to much for the starforce protection. You should have deactivated each module before upgrading.

Each license (disk) has initial 10 activations plus AAA technology (described below).

If StarForce detects changes to your computer hardware/software as described below, an

activation will be required.

An activation will be required if the hardware/software changes exceed 12 points as rated

below:

CPU ID: 13

Windows PID: 3

Computer Name: 3

Hard drive volume serial number: 3

MAC address: 6

RAM amount: 6

You need to remove each key from the registry, before you reactivate again, You will loose 1 activation on each module.

a guide to activation and deactivation can be found in your doc folder in the user manual C:\DCS World\Doc

sry to bring this out again, but the program has asked again to activate, and this time I didn't perform any other hardware change (besides plugging in a different joystick). Moreover, the retry button isn't working, again - like I put up another cpu and mobo - on the registration interface. I'm not like I'm running out of activations, but with 4 left for the warthog I feel not at ease at cleaning the keys from the registry again.

Strange

I would put a support ticket in, I can not think of any reason why it would do that. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/
