MFG62 Joker Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Our AoA gauge of the A10C shows AoA from 0 to 30 units. The gauge has 3 sections highlighted. From 15 to 16 17 to 18 19 to 21 I assume it shows best climb, best endurance, best glide. But I'm not sure. Anybody knows exactly which limits indicate what? :helpsmilie:
PFunk1606688187 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Its actually, from bottom to top, Best Range, Best Endurance, then approach speed AOA. For best climb just pitch for 200 knots minus 1 knot for every 1000 feet above MSL. Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.
sLYFa Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 just to add (from the rw manual): "Best glide speed at 30000lbs: 140KIAS add (or substract) 2kts/1000lbs above (or below) 30000lbs" i5-8600k @4.9Ghz, 2080ti , 32GB@2666Mhz, 512GB SSD
PFunk1606688187 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 While we're throwing A-10 rules of thumb at the peanut gallery - Approach speed Rule of Thumb - 110 KIAS + 2 knots per 1000 lbs above 25000 lbs Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.
