Cruiser18 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 (edited) This might be just me, but I tried the instant action free flying for the SU-25T. When I deploy the airbrakes, they visibly deploy but they simply do not slow me down at all. Edited October 3, 2015 by BIGNEWY user request
Kuky Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Su-25T airbrakes are not overly effective so there is good chance this is not a bug. Please test deceleration with airbrakes extended and not... is there distinct difference? Cruiser18 Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Well, here's how I tested it before I reported it: -Flew the free flight instant action for SU-25T. -Flew straight and level -Didn't touch the throttle -Let the aircraft speed settle based on the straight level flight with the set amount of throttle -I applied the airbrakes, heard the distinctive sound they make and visually confirmed that they had deployed at the wing edges. -No deceleration at all. Not even 10 km/h of deceleration.
ED Team Groove Posted October 2, 2015 ED Team Posted October 2, 2015 Can´t confirm. Putting the airbreakes out im getting a loss in speed. Our Forum Rules: http://forums.eagle.ru/rules.php#en
unknown Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Tryed it and the airbreakes reduce my airspeed from 470kph to 450kph in level flight and stays at that speed. 20 kph loss of airspeed at level flight for me, no more. Cruiser18 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 Yeah it seems that the airbrake is working after all. Just confirmed it with the regular DCS as well, the speed reduction is just very slow. Have probably been playing around with the Mig-21 and Mig-15 too much where the airbrakes slows you down a lot.
